Which one would you eliminate? The mosquito or the cockroach?

The cockroach

Its reputation has suffered heavy blows and continues to be discredited by everyone without shame! If you saw a cute puppy with wings, you’d hug him and sleep with it. As soon as the innocent cockroach lands on your head for a while, you scream and run like the devil is after you.

Yeah, well, it’s a little disgusting insect, but there are a lot worse than this. It doesn’t bite, and most importantly it’s quiet! It can get into your ear while you’re asleep and cause you crazy troubles, but at least it won’t wake you up!

The mosquito

The mosquito, on the other hand, seems more vulnerable because it is small and dies without doing this cockroach’s crispy noise when it meets with the shoe. We will not deal with the diseases it carries because even if there was no such danger, anyone could go up to the western Nile and get the fever.

We’re not even going to deal with the itch that the mosquito bites causes. The annoying $gnzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzards when you are sleeping is easily as bad as the cockroach. You can be under the sea, but the mosquito always finds its way to your ear! And it doesn’t want to bite! It just want to play with your nerves. It just wants to wake you up or make you slap yourself hoping that you may kill it as well.

A few words about the dog breeds of the poll

European dog breeds

Beagle

Small and happy breed. It can keep your feet warm and keep company. However, it can as well bring dinner to the house, as a hound.

Border Collie

Very clever and hard-working sheepdogs with a lot of curiosity and sensitivity. They can also be very canny when they want something!

Boxer

A breed with German origin that has been around for about 1.5 centuries. It was created in order to overpower prey, hence its muscular body type.

Bull terrier

Smart and protective dog. Its courage may originate from the fact that it was used to fight bulls and participate in dogfights.

Bulldog

Normally, they may look pissed off with the whole universe. Their gait can lull you to sleep, but they are very sweet and social creatures.

Cane Corso

An ancient breed that has long been used for guarding. Polite dog, adaptable and welcoming as long as its owner is around.

Collie Rough

Kind and protective sheepdog. After his TV career (remember Lassie?) it converted into a first class companion dog.

Dachshund

Also known as “sausages”. Loyal dogs with… strong opinions. Due to their body type, they are excellent at burrowing and finding prey (or just hiding!)

Dalmatian

Another breed with career in cinema and literature. Before being one of the attractive choices for companion dog, they escorted carriages using up the excess energy they have.

Dobermann

A well-known guardian with an imposing muzzle. Despite the rumors, they are very intelligent, obedient and social (unless you want to harm their owner).

English Cocker Spaniel

Small but very intelligent and full of energy. Another breed with a hunting background and plenty of appetite to keep families company.

English setter

Quite energetic hound but also a gentle companion. It may as well help as a guide for the blind or a rescuer in natural disasters.

Fox Terrier

Small and energetic. That’s why they were used as foxhounds. Its versatile and cheerful character made it an easy choice for companion dog.

French Bulldog

Small creatures with a particular inclination in hunting mice. Just what British immigrants needed in the 19th century. They wanted not only a (easily smuggled) souvenir of their homeland but also a mouse-free home. It soon became the star of the French working class.

German Shepherd Dog

Confident dogs with determination. Inspector Rex taught us everything else about this lovely breed.

Golden retriever

Clever, social, friendly. It does everything except guard. The chances are that it will help the thieves!

Great Dane

The friendly giant with the kind heart. Despite its enormous size and athletic appearance, it won’t say no to relaxing in the armchair.

jack russell

Foxhounds with strong personalities, an appetite for adventure and huge (really huge) amounts of energy.

Maltese

Small dogs with white fur. The friendly and cheerful touch that a home sofa needs.

Neapolitan Mastiff

A strong dog and a guardian by nature. Thought, it is not very energetic.

Pointer

Classic hunting breed specializing in tracking (as its name says…). Kind and full of energy. When they’re not running up the mountain, they can comfortably romp around the house as a member of the family.

Rottweiler

A strong breed with a strong protective instinct. It will hardly bite if you don’t provoke it. We’re not willing to take this risk though…

St. Bernard

The Swiss giant is perhaps one of the first rescue dogs since both his sloop and his strong sense of smell allowed him to roam the Alps in search of injured or lost travelers.

Visla

Friendly and tireless dogs. Ideal for hunting or simply hiking in the mountains.

Yorkshire Terrier

You can also call it a sofa accessory, but the Yorkie used to hunt mice in factories. Its wariness of strangers makes it a good watchdog (ok, at first, then you’ll probably need something bigger…)

Asian dog breeds

Akita

Large, independent but also loyal. Part of Japanese heritage with hunting dna. Many people met and fell in love with them from the movie Hachiko.

Chow Chow

Devoted yet suspicious dog breed. Courageous guardian but also needs to be respected in order to function properly.

Pug

For many people, this particular dog breed is the ultimate choice as a companion dog. Small and very friendly, they first appeared next to Chinese emperors and before arriving in Europe, they became known for accompanying Buddhist monks.

Shar Pei

Chinese sheepdogs. Despite their frowning muzzles, they are clever, affectionate, friendly and carry centuries of history.

Siberian Husky

Fast, hard-working, with a lot of courage and even more strength. In the past, they were used for dragging sledges carrying whole families.

American dog breeds

Alaskan Malamute

Dedicated, friendly and very energetic. Their origin fully justifies their minimal resistance to heat. They might as well replace Rudolph on the sledge.

Chihuahua

It may lacks a bit in terms of size, but it is as aggressive as it can be! The legend says that the last Aztec emperor, Montezuma, took the breed with him to Mexico, in the Chihuahua region.

Labrador retriever

Beautiful, smart, outgoing. It is very easily trained for every need: guide for the blind, search & rescue, explosive & drug detection.

Animals of America

Chinchilla

Unfortunately, they are known as raw material for furs. From the beginning, however, they had this ending since even their name comes from the Chincha tribe in the Andes. Members of the tribe wore furs of the lovable hare-like rodent. Its fur is silky smooth and very dense.

Raccoon

Their tufted tail and the “mask” they have over their eyes make them especially cute but they are still wild animals. As pets they are smart and lovable but also irritable.

Lama

Mammal of South America. Useful to the natives as a means of transport, as a meal and also for sweaters as its wool is of excellent quality. If it doesn’t like you or feels threatened, he won’t hesitate to kick, bite and, like any self-respecting animal, spit in your face.

Beaver

The beaver can cut down whole tree trunks but it doesn’t stay there. Then it builds a dam so that it can then create its nest in the less rapid waters of the river (the beaver is a craftsman).

Alpacas

Similar to the lama, the alpaca has been farmed for its wool and meat. In fact, for the Incas it was a source of wealth and prosperity. Social animals but like the lamas they will not hesitate to defend themselves if they feel threatened.

Sloth

Sloth grows in the tropical forests of South America. Due to its flexible neck that can turn up to 270°, it reminds a little of the little girl from the exorcist but at its cutest version.

Fennec

The fennec holds the title of the smallest fox. It can be found in Africa, specifically in Sahara ρεγιον and sub-Sahara areas in North Africa. The little fox is a carnivore. It is adapted to withstand the great temperature differences as well as the dryness of the desert climate. It can survive long periods without water by drawing some moisture from its prey.

Meerkats

Another cute African creature. Though, this particular species is found in the Kalahari desert of South Africa. And it is cute until it opens its mouth and confirms his participation as a wild animal. It can become bloodthirsty and crush even animals of its own herd in order to save resources and enable the stronger offsprings to survive.

Animals of Asia

Slow loris

Known for their participation in the movie “Madagascar”. Slow lorises are cute-faced nocturnal creatures that inhabit the rainforests of Southeast Asia. Despite its “cute” appearance, the slow loris has a poisonous bite and even secretes a toxic substance from its body to discourage the wanna be predators (and stupid tourists).

Panda

Another cinema star (kung fu panda), but this time from the mountains of China. Panda eats bamboo. Though, the bamboo can’t provide it with enough energy, so it is forced to eat all the time during their waking hours (what a drama…).

Red Panda

Almost similar to the classic panda. It lives in the eastern Himalayas. While it is also fed on bamboo, it also enriches its diet with eggs, berries, small mammals and other delicacies of the animal kingdom. The red panda has also crossed over from the movies as a sifu in the movie Kung fu Panda.

Animals of Europe

Otter

As an aquatic animal, the otter usually lives near and in rivers. Otters are quite similar to weasels or ferrets due to the fact that they belong to the same group of animals.

Harp seal

The specific species of seals can be found in the frozen Greenland. Unfortunately, the seal is also hunted for its fur. What’s even more tragic is that the fur traders were after the white fur that newborn seals have.

Animals of Antarctic

Penguin

The gentlemen (and ladies) in the tuxedos are the ice hens, they are considered birds (specifically seabirds) but they do not fly. In their free time, penguins ski over the ice on their bellies (do not try this at home!)

Animals of Oceania

Koala

Australia’s favorite animal. He sleeps about 20 hours a day and when it is awake, it chews eucalyptus leaves. In the last century, humans started hunting them for their fur which brought koalas to the point of extinction, and even now the koala is considered an almost endangered species.

Quoka

Quokas are adorable. always funny and not at all wild animals! These cute creatures belong to the same category as kangaroos but in terms of character, they are very different. They are very friendly and even take selfies with tourists.
